UBE 15th Forest Creation Experiential Activity for Water Conservation

Employees from UBE Group companies participated in the 15th Forest Creation Experiential Activity for Water Conservation organized by the Agriculture, Forestry & Fisheries Department of Mine City, Yamaguchi Prefecture. The purpose of the initiative is to thin overgrown cypress trees and cut down bamboo that chokes forests, to maintain the health of forests around the Akiyoshidai Family Travel Village cabin and camping site. The participants worked up a sweat vigorously thinning trees and cutting down bamboo.

Purpose of Initiative (Objective) This annual initiative is for employees of companies using the Kotogawa River system in Yamaguchi Prefecture. It helps forests retain water and educates participants about the links between water and forests.
